Informatics Expertise

The AMIA define Informatics in healthcare as "the science of how to use data, information and knowledge to improve human health and the delivery of health care services".

The last twenty years of work has consisted of taking source data and making it useful or more useful to the NHS. The aim has been, that the customer (normally the end user) is able to profit in their work from the data application that they use or will be using.

The range of systems and data sources in the NHS is wide and complex and most of it has been covered in the last two decades.
